Design Vacation on the Greek Island of Ithaca

I stumbled upon this little piece of wonder, Villa Kalos, and now have fantasies of going to Greece and renting this charming home. South African photographers Gerda Genis and Robbert Koene have transformed this abandoned place into a design conscious travelers dream. Also, the idea of getting away from the midwest never ending winter for blue water is a definite draw.

The property overlooks almond trees and olive groves with the beautiful azure waters of the Agean only minutes away. The stone house has cement floors, limed timber beams, and seems like a primitive, yet, luxurious stay. It also sleeps 8 so you could bring friends and family. Whoever would be the lucky few!
